We very much love what we do here and welcome feedback. This week we received this lovely message from a recent visitor, and we just want to thank all of our wonderful Volunteers for their hard work which makes the Trust a very special place for everyone involved.
“I just wanted to thank you so much for our boat trip on Monday, 31st October. We were incredibly lucky in so many ways. The weather was kind, the waterways seemed to be empty and we had two fine volunteers with us, who both exhibited so much knowledge about our trip and so much skill in handling the boat. We were a little early, but that didn’t phase them and they helped all five of us into the boat and on our way. The White Admiral slipped along very quietly, so quietly that we crept up on the wild life who hardly knew we were there. We saw fabulous kingfishers, which we’d probably have missed but for Paul and Susan’s quick eyes. Previously I’d only seen one before in my life, but yesterday they seemed to queue up to show themselves to us, and along with a heron and several cormorants, they posed prettily for photos. The Ant river shrank to the watery equivalent of tiny country lane, and with the almost silent engine and the calm day, it was a very relaxing trip, probably the best time I’ve ever had on the broads. And I think our drivers bewitched that boat. Surely nobody can really moor a boat like that? It has no brakes, so how?
The people we brought have particularly asked if I would include them in my thank you. They said they had a wonderful time and they were bowled over by the charity and the work you do.
Thank you all very much.
